Running the session: one page

  1. Open inklingbook.com on a phone, tablet or library computer.
  2. Pick the occasion (birthday, Christmas, “just because”…), then type the child’s first name, age and one line about them, e.g. “loves dinosaurs and her grandma’s pancakes”.
  3. Press Make my book and sign up with the parent’s email. The first book is free; no card is asked for.
  4. Wait about 7 minutes while Inkling writes the story and draws every page. A good time for a read-aloud.
  5. Read the finished book together on screen. Any page’s words or picture can be changed.
  6. Optional, at home: order a printed booklet (about $21) or hardcover (about $45). No one needs to buy anything at the session.
