Are there personalized Hanukkah books for kids?
Guides · By Inkling · Updated
Yes. Inkling makes a Hanukkah picture book with your child as the hero, written and illustrated for them, and prints it as a $45 hardcover. For Hanukkah 2026, order by November 10 to have it for the first night (December 4) with standard shipping, or by November 17 for the eighth night.
What is in the book
You type your child’s name, and add a photo or a short idea if you like. Inkling writes a rhyming or read-aloud story set during Hanukkah and draws every page in one style, so your child looks the same from the first candle to the last. A typical book is 24 pages and takes about seven minutes to make. You read every page on screen before you order, and you can change any words or redraw any picture.
Story ideas parents start from on our Hanukkah page:
- Each night the menorah’s candles lead them on a new adventure.
- Baby’s first Hanukkah, told by the whole family.
- Making latkes with Bubbe and saving the last one.
Grandparents, brothers and sisters, and a pet can be in the story too. See how many children fit in one book.
Order by these dates for each night
Hanukkah 2026 begins at sundown on Friday, December 4, and the eighth candle is lit on Friday, December 11. A book can be a gift for any one of the eight nights, so here is the last day to order for each, to a US address:

|---|---|---|---|
| 1st night | Fri Dec 4 | Tue Nov 10 | Mon Nov 16 |
| 2nd night | Sat Dec 5 | Wed Nov 11 | Tue Nov 17 |
| 3rd night | Sun Dec 6 | Wed Nov 11 | Tue Nov 17 |
| 4th night | Mon Dec 7 | Wed Nov 11 | Tue Nov 17 |

We worked these out the same way as our holiday order-by dates: 8 business days of printing, the longest we have seen on our own orders, then 7 business days of Standard post (or 3 for Express), plus 2 business days of margin. Weekends and Thanksgiving (November 26) are not counted. These are planning dates from five past orders, not a guarantee.
