## What happens in a baby’s first christmas book

A Baby’s First Christmas book tells the story of your baby’s first December: the first look at the tree lights, the first stocking with their name on it, being passed from grandparent to grandparent on Christmas morning, and falling asleep in the middle of it all. It is written to be read aloud to a baby now and kept for them later, so it reads gently, with short sentences and warm pictures. Add the family members who will be there, the pets and your own traditions, and each can be drawn from a photo so the book looks like your Christmas.

## How a book like this might begin

> This is the story of your very first Christmas. You were only five months old, and you did not know what a Christmas tree was. But when Daddy switched on the lights, you stopped wriggling, opened your eyes very wide, and reached out with both hands.
>
> On Christmas morning, everyone wanted a turn to hold you. Grandma sang you a carol. Grandpa showed you the wrapping paper, which you liked much better than the present. And your big brother hung a little stocking with your name on it, right next to his.

An example. Every book is written fresh for your child, so yours will be its own story.

## When families give it

Families give a first Christmas book under the tree on baby’s first Christmas morning, as a gift from grandparents who want a keepsake of that year, or to new parents as a holiday present. Many read it again each December as baby grows, and make a new Christmas book for the years that follow.

Printed books ship in about 8–15 business days. Order by December 1 to have it under the tree.
